Itinerary
Arrival in Antananarivo, where our team will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel.
Departure from the hotel at 7:30 AM with your guide and driver to head towards the east coast of Madagascar. Along the way, you’ll discover several typical Merina villages. Stop at Moramanga to visit the local market and the "Chameleon Farm". Afterward, continue to the park entrance. After lunch, a walking tour awaits you in the private reserve of Vakona Lodge, where you can observe lemurs, reptiles, and amphibians. Half-board accommodation at the hotel.
After an early breakfast, your guide will drive you to Mantadia Park, located about 25 minutes away. You will explore a primary forest, the only place to see Indri-Indri, the largest lemurs in Madagascar, as well as a variety of birds, amphibians, and insects. After lunch, return to Antananarivo. Half-board accommodation at the hotel.
After breakfast, depart for Antsirabe by 4x4. Along the route, you will discover beautiful landscapes with Merina and Betsileo villages made of red clay. In Ambatolampy, visit a metalwork factory, a long-standing local tradition. Arrive in Antsirabe, check in at the hotel, and after lunch, take a walking tour of the city, renowned for its markets of semi-precious stones and well-preserved colonial buildings. After breakfast, depart for Ranomafana National Park (approximately 254 km). On the way, stop in Ambositra, the center of Malagasy handicrafts, where you will visit local woodcraft workshops. Arrive at the park in the afternoon. Half-board accommodation at the hotel.
After breakfast, visit the Ranomafana National Park with a local guide. This park covers 41,600 hectares at an altitude of around 800m and is home to several species of lemurs, chameleons, snakes, frogs, and birds. After lunch, continue to Fianarantsoa. Half-board accommodation at the hotel.
Early departure for the south, with the first stop at Ambalavao for the weekly zebu market (held on Wednesdays). Visit the Antaimoro paper workshop, where this traditional craft, decorated with dried flowers, is produced. Continue to Anja Park, where you can photograph different species of lemurs in the reserve. Arrive in Ranohira in the afternoon. Half-board accommodation at the hotel.
Early morning departure for a hike with a local guide. Isalo National Park spans 81,450 hectares and is known for its impressive eroded rock formations, deep canyons, and lush vegetation. You will see savannas, shrubs, Pachypodium, aloe plants, as well as lemurs, chameleons, birds, snakes, and frogs. Half-board accommodation at the hotel.
After breakfast, depart for Ifaty with a stop in Tuléar, home to the Antandroy and Vezo tribes, known for their fishing traditions. Half-board accommodation at the hotel.
Enjoy a free day in Ifaty, where you can relax on the beach or partake in other leisure activities. Half-board accommodation at the hotel.
Transfer by speedboat or 4x4 to Ambatomilo or Anakao. Half-board accommodation at the hotel.
Enjoy 5 days and 4 nights in Anakao for relaxation by the sea, with half-board accommodation.
Transfer to Tuléar airport and fly to Antananarivo with Air Madagascar.
Transfer to the airport for your return flight. End of services.
